About
J. Mordechai is the alias of Brooklyn-based artist and producer Jordan Rapaport. His debut album Spectres garnered attention from Resident Advisor's Best New Music, Pitchfork Selects, and Crack Magazine's Filters.
Working across guitar-driven and electronic music since 2016, he released his debut EP Reveries in 2023.
Beyond his solo work, Rapaport produces records for artists like Nazareth Hassan and NINEESHA, composes scores for dance and theater, and performs live throughout New York. He is a permanent member of Aisle Knot and has supported live performances by keiyaa, Beshken, rum.gold, Bayou, Crosslegged, and others.
